Unanswered: one query - different run time

    Hello,
I have a query that looks for a dups data in a table.

When I run it in one ora database - the run time = 1 min
When I run it in another ora database, the run time was 40 min

Why could it be and what needs to be fixed?

    Thank you.

    are the two database identical?

    1. different hardware?
    2. different SGA sizing?
    3. different number of concurrent users?
    4. different number of rows of data?

    show parameter size

this will give you a good deal of data regarding parameters relating to size

It also could be that statistics are updated on 1 database and not the other. 1 database could have additional indexes , etc ...
What does the trace of the delete look like.....

    set autotrace trace
    delete .....
