    Lightbulb Unanswered: Import

    Hello !!!

I executed this Export and I want to Import that in another machine with Oracle 9i, but this one doesn't have the same users, so when I'm importing I get many errors like ORA-01918 that says: 'THE USER .... DOES'NT EXIST' and I want to import It, even each user and the other objects !!

    EXP SYS@DLLO8I FULL=Y FILE=C:\BACKUP\EXP_8i_COMPLT_26-04-04.dmp LOG=C:\8i.log

the Import sentence that I'm using is:

    IMP SYSTEM/MANAGER@PRUEBAS FILE=C:\BACKUP\EXP_8i_COMPLT_26-04-04.dmp FULL=Y IGNORE=Y

How can I do this ????

Create the users in the new database ... Here's a script that you can run on the EXPORT'ed database to rebuild the users ...

    Then run the import ...

Doesn't it matter if I did the export with the user sys in Oracle 8i and I'm importing with the user system in Oracle 9i ????
