    Cool Unanswered: ODBC 12.5 problem

    Hi all friends

    I'm having problems with Sybase server 12.5 and ODBC 12.5 in the client, the point is that there are instructions which are not executed when i run some SPs using Odbc 12.5 the instrucions are:

    IF EXISTS(query)
    BEGIN
    END

    and the other is

    IF condition != NULL
    BEGIN
    END

    the problem is that when i use Odbc version 10 in the client this instructions are well executed but when i change my ODBC to 12.5 then this instructions are not executed well, it is even are not executed.

    Is there any idea about what's happenning????

    Greetings!!!

    Can you try to SET ANSINULL OFF at the beginning of your sp and see if it work?

    From my understanding, when we connect using ODBC, ANSINULL is ON by default, both your sample statement will evaluate to UNKNOWN if the value is NULL causing the statement to be ignore.

    Hope this help.
