I've made an app that has editboxes and I can fill in data using JDBC and IBM's Informix driver.
In IBM's programmer guide it mentions named and unnamed rows. You can use SQLData or a Struct to get this data. What are named/unnamed rows? Is this an object RDB thing?
The tables we have don't use that. What is the best way of getting data out and populating the edit boxes? At the moment I get a result set and was putting the data into a vector but that is a pain as I then have to cast each one. I saw the collection or array in the help. Is this what is used for just relational database?
I was thinking about having my own class that holds each field converted to it's Java type so I can then use it. ie display it on the form/window etc
