    Question Unanswered: how to de-concatenate

I have a concatenated field which looks like this:
    152-9-4-3-5
how can i de-concatenate them so that I am left with 5 different fields:
    152
    9
    4
    3
    5

    thanks in advance

In Acce$$97, you have to write your own function splitting this string.
Use the INSTRfunction to search the Dash "-" then use the MID function to extract your part without the dash. All this in a loop till there is no more dashes

if it's just a one off you could try using excel it has a built in menu function called "Text to columns" in the data menu.

before you go all manual, take a look at the Split() function.

Split () helps much, but it is in Acce$$ 2000 and more
