    Unhappy Unanswered: Enabling Fields

    Hello again people,

    I am trying to get Access to enable a field [Review outcome] but ONLY if the numeric value in another field [Review ID] is equal to or greater than 395.

    I've tried a few things out using the "Private Sub Form_Current() " coding but to no avail.

    Can you help?

    PHP Code:
      Private Sub Form_Current()
        if
    Me.Txt_RevieID 395 then
           Me
    .ReviewOutcome.Enabled=True

    Else

    Me.ReviewOutcome.Enabled=False
        End
    If

    End Sub

    With a macro use SetValue action

    Item is [Forms]![MyForm]![Review Outcome].enabled

    Expression is Yes

    In conditions column

    [Forms]![MyForm]![Review ID] >= 395

    Is the two fields in the same form? if it is, try this in the AfterUpdate of [Review ID]:

    Dim temp as string

    temp = [Review ID]

    if temp>395 than
    [review outcome].enabled = true
    else
    [review outcome].enabled = false
    end if

    Here's the question: At what point is this to happen? Upon form entry? After data entry in the Review ID field? What kind of form is this? Why aren't you referencing form control names instead of column names of a table?
