    SQL Anywhere 5.5 Sybase Central does not have the ability to modify data. This can be done on 5.5 using the dbisqlc utility.

    Data is modified via Watcom SQL or ANSI SQL syntax.

    Exclamation dbisqlc.exe

    Good Day,

    The utility, dbisqlc.exe was not shipped with ASA 5.5.05. At least I can not find this application under my server environment. Where can I obtain dbisqlc.exe?

    dbisqlc is certainly part of the 5.5.05 GA release, unless what you have is a cut-down version of SQL Anywhere. Application providers strip down the install to a minimum prior to bundling the embedded database. Probably what you have at the moment.

    If you have your original license information, contact Sybase Support for the CD. I have done this for my customers in the past.

    Exclamation Dbisqlc: Asa 5.5.05

    Good Day,

    Thank you for your reply to my post! My release of ASA 5.5 is licensed through an installation of IBM Rational Team Unifying Platform. However, dbisqlc.exe is not part of this release 2002.05.20. Could you zip and e-mail me this file (including any supporting dlls) to keith.woodard@roche.com?

    Best Regards,

    Hey Keith,

    Unfortunately I can't provide you with the files. Having said that if you contact Sybase iAnywhere newsgroup, I'm sure something can be arranged and plus it will then be official. I don't see any problem, after all you just need the client connectivity tools.

    Put your request here;

    Cheers,

    Willy
