Question Unanswered: 10g StartUp Error - RemoteOperationException: ERROR: Failed to create command process

    Hi,

Whenever I try to use Enterprise Manager on Oracle 10G, and any task which requires OS Authentication, it always fails with this error.

Error - RemoteOperationException: ERROR: Failed to create command process

I am running the Windows version on XP

Can anyone suggest a work around?

    Rob

    Hi,
If you are running your 10g database on Windoz system then
Go to start->Administrative tools->Local security policy

and under security settings->Local Policies->User Rights Assignment

double click on Log on as a batch job

in there add the os user to that group

This then should fix the error, its a 10g bug

    Hi,
I also have the same problem. So I have tried the above but couldn't 'startup' the EM. Is there any other step I am missing out ?
