Unanswered: how to connect sybase through PRO* C programs

    Hi all,

What is PRO* C ? Is it a language ? Who provides this PRO* C ? I know little bit about PRO* C that it is Ebedded SQLs within 'C' Code. But my question is how to connect sybase in PRO* C programs ( *.pc files ). Is there any compiler provided by sybase as in Oracle ....
Or can I use the call interfaces of sybase within the PRO* C program ? Please reply to this ..

    Thanks in advance,

The compiled program won't be able to access Sybase.
The source might be somewhat compatible with
Sybase's Embedded SQL/C, but I doubt you would
be able to just pre-compile and compile your original
sources without a line of re-coding. At most, sources
may have more to be kept than to be changed.
