    Unanswered: named transactions rollback

    hi ,

is it possible to rollback a transaction named, in an other transaction named ?

(sorry for my porr english .. ...

    i mean :

    begin tran toto

    update titleauthor
    set royaltyper = 35
    from titleauthor, titles
    where royaltyper = 25
    and titleauthor.title_id = titles.title_id
and title = "The Gourmet Microwave"

    begin tran titi
    select (price * royalty * total_sales) * royaltyper
    from titles, titleauthor, roysched
where title = "The Gourmet Microwave"
    and titles.title_id = titleauthor.title_id
    and titles.title_id = roysched.title_id

    rollback titi

it produce an error .: ..Cannot rollback titi - no transaction or savepoint of that name found.

i know save tran cmd ... but i wanted to know if "rollback titi" is possible ? do i make something wrong ?

    Thnx ;-)

    In this sample:
    Code:
    begin tran 1
    begin tran 2
    rollback
the rollback cancels the 2 begin trans.

If you want to cancel only a part of your transaction, you muse use savepoint
