    Unanswered: Autonumber

    I am sort of new to this, but I am developing an application using VB6 which uses a Access Database. There is a data entry portion to it.

    now I have also designed a relational database. as someone enters data the primary key(cost_record_id) it works fine and even populates the other table its related to correctly. Now after the 33 entry, the cost_record_id still continues to change(autonumber), but the field that it is related doesn't change anymore.

    any suggestions? or did i miss something?

    Select count(*) As Amt
    from tableA ta
    INNER JOIN
    tableB tb ON
    ta.id = tb.id AND ta.id = 34;
