    Unanswered: Prevent Access from closing

    Hi,
Is there anyway form preventing the user from using the X in the very top right of Access, ie Access itself. Apologies if this has been asked before, I did a search but couldn't see anything that fitted the bill.

I've attached a screen shot to show the X I mean

    Regards
    John

Hi. You need to use the Windows API - this page tells you how. http://support.microsoft.com/default...roduct=acc2002. Don't forget to disbale the Exit command too. Also, if you are trying to prevent users exiting from anywhere other than via an exit button on the switchboard you need to put in some code on the switchboard close event (or disable form closing) otherwise users have no way of exiting Access if they close the switchboard.
