    Angry Unanswered: delete duplicate entries

how do I delete all the duplicate entries except for one?
eg. if I have entries that are the same, only four must be deleted

    or another idea:
how do I delete only the current record?
then I can use a loop to delete all but one.

I'm guessing you don't have relationships set up here?

You could avoid the deleting fiasco and simply dump a set of unique records into a new table, drop your current table and rename, or repopulate it.

    SELECT DISTINCT *
    FROM yourTable
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
