    Thumbs up Unanswered: database users

    Hi does anyone have any ideas how many users at any one time can be suing Access. I want to know as i am designing a database and this may be used by more than one person at any given time

    Maximum of 255 concurrent users ...
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

    One thing to keep in mind is that as the number of concurent users increases Access has a hard time with performance, at leats in my experiences.
    Once you get to a certain number of concurent users you might find SQL Server a better choice. Good thing is that Access DBs can be converted to SQL Server without too many headaces.

    Like i said this was my experince, I am sure there are a lot of other factors that cause speed issue such as code efficeny ect ect.
