Unanswered: modify checkbox's value from a function

I have a form which contains a tab control. On each of these tabs is a checkbox. I'm trying to clear these checkbox's from a function. When I try and set the value of the checkbox to false:

[Form_PCAD Data Form]![CAV Ready for Review] = False

I get an error message "can't assign a value to this object"

The form is open, and the checkbox is enabled and is NOT locked.

    Any help would be appreciated...

    forms![Form_PCAD Data Form]![CAV Ready for Review].Value = 0

You could also try to assign 0 to the value.
    In Microsoft, -1 = Yes/True/On/Checked and 0 = No/False/Off/Unchecked
