    Unhappy Unanswered: beginner question

    Hi,

    I am completely new to DB2 world and so please forgive me if the solution is very simple.
    I am trying to get a list of tables that are defined in the database. However, I am getting the following error:

    db2 => list tables
    DB21033E The command is not valid for databases that reside on DRDA hosts.

    Does anyone has a clue as to what it means?

    db2 list tables command will work with not work with databases residing on os390,as400 etc

    The command is valid only for unix and windows db2 databases ...

    If you would like to have something similar to 'list tables' on the host, you can find a REXX code in www.db2click.com/scripts.htm

    Cheers

    Thanks. Can you please tell me how to run REXX script. Are there any GUIs which can be used to access DB2? Something like SQLAdvantage.
