Thumbs down Unanswered: Installation Quit Without Error

    Hey All,

    I'm trying to install Oracle 9i 9.0.1 in a machine running Win2k SP 4.

After i insert the cd, the autoplay runs and when i click Install/Deinstall Products the installation quits without error or message.

i have in temp dir the directory Orainstall but nothing happens.

    Any ideia ?

    Best Regards,
    Felipe Tonioli

    Hi,

You don't need to delete/rename a single .dll, you need to delete or rename all occurrences of the .dll (symcjit.dll) on your machine and on a copy of the installation CD.

Do a google for symcjit.dll and there should be some straightforward instructions.

If you've done that already then... dunno :-)

    Cheers

Please don't email me directly with questions. I've probably just got home from the pub and cannot guarantee the sanity of my answers. In fact, I can't believe I actually made it home.
