    Question Unanswered: MS Access Compiler

    Anyone know a software that turns a .mdb or a .mde into to a standalone application to be used on a pc the doents have MS access instaled?

    Also try to get the Visual Basic Tools, I think it has the ability to do that. (Not sure)

    If your application is built using Microsoft Access ... then it really is going to have to be distributed only to computers which have a compatible version of MS-Access installed.

    Sure, you can buy the Developer Edition, but how is that really going to change things? Your application depends upon a certain volume of vendor-supplied software existing on the target computer ... you cannot hope to anticipate what version might be available "twenty years from now" ... and it is practically un-realistic to try to ship all of that baggage with your application. So, you simply need to assume, to require, that it exists.
