    Unanswered: mysql and internet security

    i could only connect mysql server only when i disable my internet security..
    is there an solution or advices some one can offer me?

    My only guess is that your firewall is blocking the port MySQL communicates on. You might want ensure that your network security allows port 3306 through.

    what i could only do with my firewall, is to add 3306 to a list of HTTP port list that is commonly use to view a site...

    i get "lost connection to MYsql server during query"

    i had went into INternet security and config mysqld-nt-max to allow its connection,
    however that catergory belongs to "access to the internet connections...
    and certainly i still cant connect to mysql server when i enable my internet security..

    am i on the right track?
