Unanswered: Can't install Access 97 on hard drive.

I just bought a brand new edition of Microsoft Office 97. Every
program except MS Access installed with no problem. I can't run
Access 97 unless the Office CD is in my CD Rom drive.

Is there a way to install Microsoft Access onto my hard drive. I did
a Google search to try to find a solution to this problem. I found
other people encountered this problem, but there was no solutions.

    Any help will be appreciated.

If you have a newer version of Access already installed on your system (like Access2000) then perhaps you may need to uninstall the newer version first, then install Access97, then install the newer version again.

If I recall, you do have the option of running the office applications from CD during the install/setup process. Try another install of Access97 and choose the Custom feature. Make Access is set to Full install and not from CD.

    custom install

    Hi

there is a choice that u were given during setup to install access so it can run from your hd or from cdrom. Run the setup again, choose custom install and when you get the option what to install choose run from my hard drive.

    hope this was hlpfl
