    Unanswered: Subform in a subform

    What is the syntax for referring to a subform in a subform. I can reference the first subform ok but when I try to reference the second one I get an error saying the form cannot be found. This is what I have tried :
    strMat = Forms!frmEstimate!frmNewEst!frmMatsNewEst.Form.cbo Mats

    livvie,

    too many '.'s at the end, you should not have to mention the '.form' bit!

    try,

    Forms!frmEstimate!frmNewEst!frmMatsNewEst.cboMats

    Make sure all these forms are open as well, otherwise it will fall over again.

    Hope this helps,

    Jnr

    Still fallling over. The main form is frmEstimate and this contains a subform frmNewEst this subform then contains frmMatsNewEst and the control cboMats is on this form.

    are you sure?

    check the names of the subform "controls" in properties¦other - the names are not necessarily the names of the .sourceobject

    livvie,

    What is it that you are trying to do with this control?

    it may be that the function is not available for that control.

    This syntax worked Forms!frmEstimate!frmNewEst!frmMatsNewEst.Form.cbo Mats
    the name of one of the subforms was wrong.
