    Do use a RecordSet or a Form to fill in your Record

    Lightbulb

    Use the AfterInsert event
    PHP Code:
    Private Sub Form_AfterInsert()

    MsgBox ("Inserted .....")
    End Sub

    Does the form need to be open for this code to work?

    Private Sub Form_AfterInsert()
    MsgBox ("Inserted .....")
    End Sub

    If you put this code in the Form_AfterInsert event, then you enterd your record on the opend Form and you moved to the next record then the event will be fired and the message will apper. Hope that what you need

    New Record Notification - more details

    Here are a little more details on what I'm trying to do.

    I have a "data entry form" that is open all the time. I have another "request form" attached to a linked table that will be closed.

    I would like to while in the "data entry form" when a new record is added to the closed "request form" or linked table.

    Any ideas or suggestions out there? Much appreciated in advance.
