Unanswered: PostgreSQL Connection under DOS
I have an interesting problem.
I have to connect PostgreSQL under MS Dos 6.22.
The Dos machine can connect network and it has IP number.
(with MS Network Client 3)
Is this possible to connect PostgreSQL under DOS ??
I can use Pascal, FPC, C or other language under DOS.
i suppose its possible if dos uses TCP\IP to connect to the db.
But to be honest.. never tried it..
Hey man, you'll need a telnet cleint (maybe ssh), or a dos web browser, those trics really exists till now, if your 6.22 is TCP/IP capabale you can do it, there is also a Pgsql FPC library http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/www.freepasca.../packages.html .
The Pgsql connection is an embded package with FPC, get a look here http://www.freepascal.org/docs-html/packages/postgres/
Good luck !
Don't forget to give us a feedback, it could be important !
