    Unanswered: can't create additional instance

    Hi,

    When I increase the size of rootdbs again same error occurs, this time it requires again more size than I defined.

    I use cooked file. I'm sending my onconfig file.Informix 9.21, hp-ux 11.00

    Please change PHYSFILE 110000 to PHYSFILE 5000, and star-up.

    onmonitor solved my problem

    Hi gustavo,

    Thanks for the answer. I couldn't initialize it with oninit -iv , but yesterdat I used onmonitor and I could create my instance.

    PS: LOGFILES=3 LOGSIZE=200 was not enough even to create sysmaster and sysutils. So LOGFILES * LOGSIZE should be not smaller than 3MB for even a very simple/small database.

    PHYSLOG is taking up the whole rootdbs, decrease the size, or increase the size of rootdbs
