Unanswered: re: creating oracle spatial index
I am running oracle 9i on windows 2000 professional.
I tried to created a spatialindex on a column of type mdsys.geometry.
which has approxx 3.1 million rows
the error message popped up while the process was running
-- end of file communication channel..
I reconnected to oracle
when i try to drop the index i get the follwing error
SQL> drop index rd_link_geo_idx;
drop index rd_link_geo_idx
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-29868: cannot issue DDL on a domain index marked as LOADING
can anybody shed any light on whats going on and how i can create the
spatial index succesfully ..
