    Unanswered: User CAL Setup

    Hi all,

This is a really urgent request for some info. I can't seem to find details on this particular problem even though i can find so much general info.

I am installing SQL Server Enterprise Edition. I want to license it with 100 USER CALS. When i get to the 'Choose licensing mode' screen, I have two options:

    Per Device
    Per Processor

How do i set it to Per User??????

    Please help.
    Thanks

A SQL Server CAL is required for a device to access or use the services or functionality of either edition of SQL Server.
so what u need is the per device settings

Requires a license for the machine running the Microsoft server product,
as well as Client Access Licenses (CALs) for each client device. A set
number of CALs are included with a server license and the server software.
And refer to this KBA http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;q257716 about licensing issues.
