I prefer to script them (jobs) and store them in a shared secure folder or burn them to a cd so that i can recreate them in an instant on many different servers without having to deal with backups.
as a consultant i have a few really cool auto jobs that i use for maintenance and configuration and its real easy to just run the scripts off of my cd.

I second Scott's suggested to script the jobs, which is an easy method to maintain the jobs apart from backup MSDB database.
