    Is is possible to call a SQL Server Table from an oracle schema,

    I mean, I wanna make a query using a SQL Server table and an Oracle table !


    Something like a dblink

    It is so confusing, I dont really understand !

    They talk about a way, using SQL loader ??? and another one with an Oracle 9i new feature ? wich one ? how to use it ?

    You have to use what is called Oracle Transparent Gateway for MS SQL Server. Once you have this piece configured, you will create an TNS alias and use it to create a db link in Oracle.

    Also you can use ODBC driver's connection. The db link syntax is:

    SQL> create database link sqlserver connect to scott identified by tiger using 'ODBCracle_to_sql';

    where "oracle_to_sql" is the TNS alias in th etnsnames.ora file
