    Unhappy Unanswered: How to UNQUIESCE tablespaces??

    I used the following code, to reset.

    Code:
    CONNECT TO DBO user administrator using ****;
    QUIESCE TABLESPACES FOR TABLE DBO.USER RESET;
    CONNECT RESET;

    It wouldnt allow me to reset.

    The error i got was:

    SQL3805N The state of the application or of one or more table spaces for the
    table specified prohibits the loadapi action or quiescemode "9". Reason code=
    "1".

    I tried load command to import data to the USER table. It did not go through correctly. For some stupid reason i quiesced it (to exclusive mode) and now i am unable to undo it. Not my day at all.....

    Thanks in Advance,

    Newbie

    Try issuing the same LOAD command with TERMINATE Option.

    Eg. Load from file1 of de1 TERMINATE into table1

    You should do this as the same user issued the load command.

    Isn't the new LOAD...TERMINATE wonderful?

    Just a note to others following this thread, that LOAD... TERMINATE in older versions messes things up royally... it used to put the tablespace into "restore pending", so use it with caution!

    I believe this was fixed in v7 GA, but don't quote me on that... and certainly don't use it without consulting the docs!
