    Unanswered: reason for join query to fail

    Can anyone please tell me the various situations where a join query fails.
    One of my client fired an sql query involving join of two tables. The query goes something like this..
    select ..... from table1,table2 where table1.a1 = table2.a2(+) and table1.b1=table2.b2(+) and .....;
    This query is returning more than expected results. On my setup it is working fine. I fired the same query after removing the join conditioins and i am getting results similar to him.

    Thanks in advance
    Vinay.

    What is reason you are using 2 outer joins in your query?

    We need to check two conditions. Both the conditions have to be true.
