Angry Unanswered: how can i create a function in sybase?

It is possible to define in sybase a user-defined function, who returns a value and who can be used in a select or as any other function like dateadd, stuff, ....?
I only see in the documentation how to create a procedure, but not a function. How can i do it?

No need to download, but you must obtain a chargeable key from Sybase.

Then you only need to write the function using Java and to include it to the ASE. Then you can use it as any other function.
