Unanswered: hide the characters in a textbox

I want to hide the user id as they are typing in.
I have a textbox that when the users type in their ID it displays * instead of the what they typed. I tried adding the code in the textbox OnChange event to replace each character they typed in with * but it will not move to the next character in the control. Access UI will only disply the first charater w/ *. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!
