    Question Unanswered: db2relocatedb anyone?

    V8.1 fp 5

Has anyone used this command to move dbdirs or change the instance to which a database belongs?

Surprisingly, documentation says authorisation none. Also, it does not mention whether the db should be active or deactive.

    Shouldn't be active.

Not sure why authorization says none, I believe it has to be run as the instance owner.

There have been significant changes to the docs since GA, Google for "db2relocatedb":
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoce...e/r0004500.htm

I was just browsing those docs, it tells you what to run as in what situations.

I believe it says "authorization none" since it operates directly on files, bypassing any database security you've set up...
