Unanswered: Error 00942 --- ODBC Error 3639 Table/view does not exist.

    Hi,

When trying to import data from 8i to Excel 2002 the above error appears.

When using the Data Link Properties-wizard and test the connection it works successfully and the same result is received in code.

When trying to execute the SQL-statement in code the above error appears.
I know that there is a case-sensitive and we have therefore used different approaches like using uppercase, quoters around table-names and also prefix in front of the table-names.

    The user has read-only rights.

    TIA,
    Dennis
    Kind regards,
    Dennis

    Just a guess

What about enclosing the table name between [ ], i.e., select * from [TABLE]

    Just a wild guess.

    Question

does the user that the application uses have select on the table/view or execute on the package/procedure that calls it?
