Unanswered: loading files into DB with PL/SQL

Hi, I need to load all files placed in given directory into Oracle table.
Is it possible with a standard pl/sql procedures?

I think, there is one solution:
    1) create external library/routine (which will return filenames in a directory)
    2) create external procedure
    3) use filenames as inputs to UTL_FILE functions and procedures for loading BLOBs into Oracle table(s)

    Thanx

If you have Java enabled on your database then you can write a Java stored procedure to get a directory listing without writing an external procedure.

You could also load the files using external tables.

    Thanks for advice.

I need to insert files (jpg,pdf,...) as BLOBs or BFILEs resp.
Java stored procedures could help me, but external tables ???.

External tables won't be any use for jpg, pdf
