Cool Unanswered: setting p a staging server

    Hi all,
I have a development environment in which Oracle 9.2 is the databse and Win2K server is the OS. My production env. will be on solaris 8.
So, before the deployment I would like to set up a staging server in Solaris 8 so that I could do the performance monitoring by stimulating the application. So my question is how to port the dev. database in Win2k to Solaris platform. Waiting for your response. Thanks in advance.

You have an UGLY situation on your hands.
The ONLY way to move Oracle "objects" between dissimilar OSs is exp/imp.
Keep in mind that to move Oracle "objects" from a higher revision version (9)
to a lower version (8), the export MUST be done the lower version (v8) exp utility.
