    Angry Unanswered: tablespace restore

I am trying to restore a tablespace to 5/14. There are load jobs running everyday and I have a tablespace backup after the load job for 5/14.

This is the sequence of steps I have taken:

db2 “restore db xpsdb tablespace (NG00TS28) from /usr/local/dba/dump/pddd242/backups/ts_backups/ taken at 20040514190130 parallelism 3”

db2 “rollforward db xpsdb complete tablespace (NG00TS28) overflow log path (/usr/local/db2/pddd242/naveen/logs)”

    I get the following error:

/usr/local/db2/pddd242/naveen/logs>db2 "rollforward db xpsdb complete tablespac"
SQL1276N Database "XPSDB" cannot be brought out of rollforward pending state
until roll-forward has passed a point in time greater than or equal to
"2004-05-19-04.05.07.000000", because node "0" contains information later than the specified time.

Can anyone give me a solution to this? Sooner appreciated as my tablespace is in restore pending.

    Database: DB2 UDB 7.2 FP9.

    Thanks in advance.

Since the minimum recovery time for this tablespace is 2004-05-19-04.05.07.000000, you can not restore tablespace 'Point In Time' before this timestamp.

What is the size of your database?

Do you have any backup taken after 2004-05-19-04.05.07.000000? If yes, can you use that backup?

I do have the offline backup for 5/19. However, that is not the issue. The business wants to restore it to 5/14. Any possible ways???

You can restore db into new name(5/14 backup). And export data from that tablespace and load it into new database tablespace's tables.

    Any other better suggestions??
