Lightbulb Unanswered: Waitfor time vs waitfor delay

Whats the difference between waitfor time and waitfor delay in SQL Sever2000.

Which one is better if you want to send a file at a certain time?

    Thanks,

Generally neither. You should schedule this task as a job through SQL Server Agent.
If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.

The send/receive time of the file is given in a table. How would the job be schdeuled depending on a field in a table?

You could have a job that runs every minute (or so) and checks the table to see which files need to be sent.
