    Cud anyone tell how to find the RAM and swap space utilisation in unix and Solaris systems.

    on a linux environment, try "free" command that will show you memory and swap usage. don't know if it's available for solaris
    you can always use "top", but this will give you much more information about cpu and processes, too.

    In solaris try prstat.. to order by swap utilization prstat -s size
