    Unanswered: backends

    I need to make the front end of the database in access
    Can the backend be mysql or sqlserver or oracle or db2 or all of them

    Yes indeed it certainly can ...
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

    so the backend can be db2 or oracle

    and the front end can be access rite. the reason i ask is i feel that front ends in ms access are easier to make user friendly

    Yep. You need only a provider and a gateway to them ...
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
