    Unanswered: Validation

    Hi

I am creating a database in Access and I have to validate the discharge date field and records too. The validation for field is Between #01/04/2003# And Date() so no admission dates can be entered before 01/04/03 and after the current date. The validation for the record i believe is [DischargeDate] = > [AdmissionDate] " so the discharge date cannot fall before the admission date. I have entered these validation rules in but when entering data i get a error message saying "Error evaluating check constraint in the validation rule".

    Can someone please help??

    Thanks

    Zoster

I am not sure if this is your problem but the usual expression for greater than or equal is >= not =>

In design view of the Table, go to the discharge date field and type
    >=#01/04/2003# And <=Date(). Then go to the menu and choose View > Properties > Validation for the Table itself. In the Validation property type [DischargeDate] >= [AdmissionDate]. I tried it and it works.
