Unanswered: Comb Box and table values, Inner join maybe???

I have a table with two fields, ID and Age

I have a form with a combo box that displays just the Age column and it saves that selection onto another table.

But instead of saving the actual value shown on the Combo box, lets say
17yrs old, it will save the corresponding ID value on the 2nd table.

On the 2nd table I would like the actual Age (the value shown in the combo box) to be saved instead of the ID value.

Ive been told i have to setup inner joins??

If so can someone explain to me how?

    If not any other ideas?

when creating a combo box you have a property "Bound Column" set this to 2

I can view the correct information in the combo box on the form

but that information is not saved to the table correctly, instead of saving the information shown on the combo box, it saves the corresponding ID value instead.

That is because the "Bound Column" of your combo box is set to 1 (which is the ID). Try changing the value of the "Bound Column" to 2 (which should be the Age). The bound column is the one that gives the value.
