    Unanswered: 255 field limit

Does anyone know if there is a way to get around the 255 field limit? I started adding 2 comment fields against each other... so that it appears as one.. but it would be nice if it really were one field.

Sorry to be rude but if you need more than 255 fields in a table something is probably wrong, normalize your data!
If your data is already normalized and you really need all those fields I'd strongly advise not to use MS Access to store your data as it clearly surpasses it's design.

Do you mean the 255 character limit of a text type column? If so, goto a memo field type ... If not, then you do need to normalize your table(s) ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

It is a Text box and we are using it to type in comments. In most cases the response is longer than 255 character limit.

Oh, sorry, then I misunderstood you. As M Owen already said you can use the Memo data type instead holding up to 64k characters.
