    Unanswered: question about views

Is it possible to create "unique" fields in the view. I have a contacts table, with each contact being part of a particular group. For instance, doctors, lawyers, etc. I'd like to include a unique contact registration number within each group. Which means there could be duplicates when you look at the table as a whole but when you look at the view on it's own the reg number would have to be unique and the system wouldn't let you add a duplicate within the group.

I think you did not understand views right.

If you create a view there is always a table under the view if the table has unique entries the view has also unique entries and so on

try to get your tables right and the you have unique entries in a view
