    imp should be in $ORACLE_HOME/bin/

You can install it from the installation CD's. Select database install, then do a custom install. When the list appears for products to install, click on the "show dependencies" check box. You'll want to de-select everything (order is important by the way because of dependencies.... de-select the database last) except for "database utilities".

The labels I know are not exactly correct since I'm not looking at an install screen, but should be close...

    Hope this helps.

You cannot use the imp.exe standalone. It uses .DLL from the ORACLE_HOME.

You have to install at least an Oracle client on your machine, to be able to use the imp.exe or exp.exe binaries. Once you have the installation in place, go to your %ORACLE_HOME%/bin directory. The imp.exe will be there.
