I'm a 16 year old highschool student and I ended up taking database fundamentals I and II as an elective. I wasn't sure about what it was when i first decided to take it. It turns out that it's an online class offered by Oracle. http://academy.oracle.com/. Well so now my first year is over and since i passed the exam for the class (only one that passed) my instructor says i can take the certification exam this summer. (Intro to Oracle 9i SQL Exam (certification exam)). This is all I know. What will i be certified in and what does it mean? What should i do after this? I have the self test software and i feel i am prepared. I have PDF and Powerpoint files that my class used for each section. Could i find a job with this certification? Something better than working as a bus boy or valet during my last years in high school and through college. . . Please help me out. i will be grateful for any information i can get. if there is anything i should know please tell me.
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in but its very active and i know i will find help.

I hope you have thick skin & are not easily discouraged.
How good a programmer are you?
In which programming languages are you fluent?

Possibly, but not likely any time soon.
IMO, you know enough to be dangerous and have too little experience to know what you don't know. What you don't know fills volumes.
Below are a handful of Oracle refernce sites.
HTH & YMMV
www.acronymfinder.com can also be useful. ;-)You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
