    Unanswered: Problem With Database Link

    Hi
Can you please help me in solving a problem which includes a DB Link.
Actually i have created one Dblink "Test" to Connect to another database in which a table is there called
won_detail. Im my Local database a table is there called Won_Master. By this DBlink i am able to view the data
in won_detail i mean select * from won_detail@Test is working but when i am issusing the command.

Select * From Won_Detail@Test Where Won In (select Won From Won_Master), the machien hangs.....

Won_Master resides in my local database.

The problem is i am not able to issue any subquery which accesses remote database as well as local database simultaneously.

    Thanks & Regards
    Rasmi

How many data is there in "WON_MASTER" table? Such a query can be time (CPU) consuming, as you select ALL "Won"'s from that table.
What happens when you restrict it adding WHERE condition into the subquery?

    Problmes With DBLink

    Hi

In response to your previous mail, please find the following information...

The Table "WON_MASTER" contains 20 records only which resides in My Local Database. But i am connecting to "WON_DETAIL" which is in Remote database using DBLINK "TEST". My SQL is like this.

    Select *
    From Won_Detail@Test
    Where WON In (Select Won from Won_Master);

The moment the statement is fired, the machine is being hanged.

I need your valuable suggestion in this regard.

    Thanks & Regards
