Smile Unanswered: To Join or not to Join

    Hi There

I have two tables, Table 1 has 2141 rec and Table 2 has 3 mill. rec.

Now I want to make a join between the two tables, where I only get Table 1 (the 2141 rec) with three additional columns from Table 2.

My first throught was to join the two tables with an inner join, but I don't have a uniqe identifyer between the two tables and I have a "one to many" relation between to two tables.

Is it at all possible to make a join between the tables, which gives me Table 1 with three additional columns from Table 2?

Any help is very much appriciated

??? Then how do you know what rows from Table 2 are related to Table1? How would you know if it's one-to-one or one-to-many even? There has to be a column or series of columns that constitute the key between the two tables. If not, then what's the point. Why don't you post the table structure and reask the question.
