Question Unanswered: Sorting by a formula in a group footer

I've created an Access report that does a sum of a field in a group footer.
    =sum([grand total]).
Is there a way to sort by this value.

Did you ever figure out how to sort by the sum?

Did you ever figure out how to sort by your sum expression in the group footer? I have a similar problem where I am trying to sort by a value in my group footer. I want to show the highest values first. Well let me know. I appreciate it. Thanks,

The answer is that you can't. You can only sort by columns in the underlying query. Seems nobody bothered to post that.
