Can I turn off usenet newsgroups?

Thanks to dozens of Usenet newsgroups, my daily troll for "Get New" is flooded with un-threaded messages about the drivel that usually populates those newsgroups... not forum members talking among themselves, which is usually more focused. I prefer to use www-forums like this one specifically to exclude Usenet group 'noise.' It is more time-efficient and usually of higher quality.

Can "Get New" be programmed to optionally filter-out Usenet? Soon??

thanks for adding your voice to mine

i requested the same thing weeks ago

i think the new owners of dbforums (inet interactive) have totally missed the boat on the meaning of "interactive"

hey inet, if you cannot or will not make the change we are asking for, the polite thing to do would be to post a reply to that effect

ignoring the "suggestions and feedback" forum like you seem to be doing is a clear indication that you need to take a ride on the cluetrain

I just bookmark a link like this:
http://www.dbforums.com/search.php?do=getnew&forumid=3

I haven't been able to get multiple forum IDs, so just pick out the fid from the main categories (fid 3, 10, 83, etc.) and make multiple bookmarks. I think that's the best we can do, unless the admins create a parent for *all* the non usenet.
